Lombardy is Italy's treasure

Italy is one of the most beautiful and Sunny countries where I was lucky enough to visit. In this country you can go all year round, depending on the purpose of the trip: winter-skiing; summer - Sunny beaches; autumn and spring-excursions.

Summer begins in late April and lasts until October, but Lombardy is located on the Northwest side and is the third largest region of peninsular Italy, where summer is not as long as in other areas. The territory of Lombardy, almost equally divided between plains and mountain peaks, is characterized by the beauty of the region in nature, which reflects the largest number of natural and artificial reservoirs of the Alpine mountain arc. Here flows the largest river in Italy called Po, as well as several hundred lakes, the largest of which are Maggiore, Como and Lecco. The lakes attract cultural figures, artists and tourists with their unique landscapes. Those who are planning buy  property in Italy-this is an amazing place, will find something special.

For many decades, fashionistas and fashionistas come to the capital of Lombardy-Milan, which is a metropolis that includes skyscrapers and small streets of the past centuries. Milan is not only a trendsetter, but a financial, economic and country heart. Lombardy, considered the most populous and rich region, is one of the leading business centers and its GDP is 20.7% of the total in Italy, and the growth of the economy in turn never ceases to amaze, the most developed areas here are electrical engineering, construction, footwear and clothing industries. Lombardy has two of the best business schools (Milan Polytechnic school of management and Bocconi University) and many higher education institutions of art and music, where about 35% of all students are foreigners. It is worth noting that in Lombardy concentrated the largest number of objects of intangible and tangible cultural heritage of UNESCO: the Dominican Church and the monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie with the "Last supper" by Leonardo DaVinci, "Holy mountains" of Piedmont and Lombardy, the mountains of San Giorgio, Manutua and Sabbioneta, rock inscriptions in the valley of Val Camonica, factory village Crespi d'adda, line Albula and Bernina Brescia, castelsepri and gornate Olona and prehistoric structures in the Alps. The territory of Lombardy is rich not only in beautiful lakes, mountains and valleys, but also in art, history and culture. There are abbeys, beautiful castles, towns and villas, Golf courses and ski resorts, the most famous of which is Bormio. Everyone who lives in this place or comes at least for a day, finds a suitable occupation. Bormio-a first-class ski resort, this is a great place for lovers of antiquity, thermal treatments, lively recreation. The resort has more than 60 km of slopes with ski heights from 1200 to 3000 m, improved trails and slopes after the world ski Championships in 1985. also in Bormio are competitions of the highest rank. Beginners in winter sports will find a sufficient number of trails with stunning scenery.  In this region, residents pay great attention to various sports, namely: football, volleyball, basketball, water Polo and others. An interesting fact is that since 1922 the Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix has always been held in Monza (Milan province).

Speaking of Lombardy, it is impossible not to reveal the delicious and unforgettable taste of Italian cuisine. Italian cuisine is known all over the world. Thus, over time, in the regions of the region there were various traditional dishes that are closely related to the peasant past and the gifts of the fields, namely: Milan risotto, polenta, casuela, pizzoseri, panettone, torrone-this is only a small part of these dishes prepared with local culinary secrets. Only in Lombardy stand 13 wine regions: Valteplina, Franciacorta, Capriano del Colle, San Martino della Battaglia, valkalepio, Oltrepo Pavese, Cellatica, San Colombano al Lambro and others. It produces 5 types of wines category DOCG (category category Denominazione Di origine e Grantita management) (the highest category in the classification of Italian wines) and 20 categories Doc (category management category Denominazione Di origine). The most famous wines are Franciacorta and oltrepo Pavese. It is curious that Lombardy is the birthplace of such liqueurs as Amaretto and campri.

Lombardy is a bright and saturated part of Italy, there are many bright holidays here every year and here are some of them:

1.    Torrone festival (nut nougat) - held annually on the third Sunday in November in Cremona.

2.    The day of St. Ambrose-the patron Saint of Milan-December 7.

3.    In all cities of Lombardy, the patron Saint of Santa Lucia is considered to be December 13.

4.    The juban festival (burning dolls "in winter") is the Last Thursday in January in Albavilla.

5.    Carnival in Mantua-end of February-March.

6.    Grape festival - in Castellaro Lagusello every year in September; and many others.

In conclusion, I would like to note that buy property in Italy was one of the best decisions I made, and Lombardy is a region that never ceases to amaze with its variety of traditions, history, culture and beauty of the lands of "hundreds of lakes"...
