Incredible portugal

The Portuguese Republic is the oldest state in Europe and one of the most beautiful countries, it is closely linked historical and cultural heritage with a progressively developing present. Portugal is located on the Iberian Peninsula, bordering Spain. The country is located on the coast of the Atlantic ocean in Portugal subtropical mild climate, even in winter the temperature is not released below 9 degrees. On the territory of the Portuguese Republic a large number of conservation areas, historical buildings, which attract millions of travelers to the country every year.
Once Portugal was a great Maritime power (XVI-XIX century) it included many colonies located in the North Atlantic, Latin America, Africa, India and Asia. However, after the invasion of Napoleon in the XIX century, Portugal lost the fleet, and with it most of its power.  At the moment, the Portuguese Republic has rights only to the Azov Islands and the Autonomous region of Madeira. Portugal has given the world a lot of world-famous personalities such as: Vasco da Gamma, Fernand Magellan (travelers); Luis de Camoens, Fernando Pessoa (poets); Sara Sampaio (TOP model); Cristiano Ronaldo (footballer) as well as many others.
The most popular cities to visit and stay are Lisbon, Porto, Sintra, Braga, Guimaraes, Coimbra, Braganza and Nazare.  I want to tell you about the two largest cities in Portugal:
Lisbon is the capital of Portugal, located on the Tagus river and is a very picturesque city, there are various historical attractions such as: Belen tower (created in honor of the opening of the sea route to India Vasco da Gama), the statue of Christ, towering over the city, the longest bridge in the world and others. There are many museums, ancient churches and castles, as well as on the territory of Lisbon several parks in which there is everything for outdoor enthusiasts. With the onset of the evening, youth institutions open jazz clubs, discos and pubs in Lisbon will not have time to be bored. It is also worth noting that shopping is one of the pleasures of Lisbon especially during the sales period (January-February and August-September) when discounts reach up to 90%.
Porto is one of the oldest cities in Portugal, and its center is declared a UNESCO World cultural heritage. The city is located on the banks of the Douro river just a few kilometers from its confluence with the Atlantic ocean. A large number of beaches are located both within the city and in its suburbs. Just 16 kilometers from Porto there is a small town of Espinho, which annually welcomes thousands of surfers, because on the beaches of 17 kilometers in windy weather, the waves reach 20 meters. Eshpipyu certainly can not surpass the height of the waves of another Portuguese city Nazare, where the waves reach 30 meters in the winter months, but this town sometimes surprises even the most experienced surfers. Porto-the birthplace of port, it is in its distilleries produce and store this fortified wine recognized throughout the world. In Porto the many architectural structures of past eras: the Cathedral, the Church of St. Francis of the seventeenth century, and the tower of Clerigos these are just a few of them.  It is also worth noting that the bookstore Lavraria Lello opened in 1906 and located in Porto, is the prototype of the library in the school of magic in the Harry Potter books, it is also among the 10 best bookstores in the world. Walking through the small streets of this delightful city, watching the mix of cultures in the centuries-old history, it is difficult to imagine how many UPS and downs this city has experienced.
Many guests who have visited this country, come back to stay here, especially since real estate in Portugal is very diverse and everyone will be able to choose a place to taste. The people of Portugal are very hospitable and open people. Coffee here is considered one of the national drinks, of course, after wine, a day for a resident of Portugal has about 3-5 cups. Winemaking in Portugal has a special place in the country 29 wine regions, the most famous of them are the following: Alentejo, Bayrada, Dan, Douro, Culares, Madeira, Vinho Verde.  The most outstanding wines of Portugal awarded the category DOC (Denominacao de Origem Controla (the name of the wine is controlled by origin)) at the moment this category awarded 19 wines: Vinho Verde, Port, Maidera, Moscatel di Setubal, Bayrada, Mateusz and others. The Portuguese drink wine in large quantities, even sitting behind the wheel, they have the right by law to drink this drink 650 grams, it is many times more than in many countries of the world.
The national cuisine of Portugal is not as well known in the world as Italian or French and yet the Portuguese know a lot about delicious food. Most of the dishes are very contrasting, they are an amazing combination of fish and meat ingredients and delight with their unusual tastes. Much of the traditional dishes are seafood, vegetables and cheeses, but the variety of meat dishes can surprise. From national dishes include: the Cala Verde (cream of cabbage soup), Feijoada(roast blend of beans, different varieties of smoked meat and sausages), Alheira de Mirandela(national pudding, made of any kinds of meat except pork), pork Alentejo(a dish of pork and seafood), and desserts Pastel de belém(custard tarts with cinnamon and icing sugar) and OVOS moles(sweet egg filling in a thin wafer shell) and of course, speaking of Portugal, it is impossible not to mention Bacalhau(dried salt cod), which the Portuguese eat daily and in very large quantities.
The Portuguese Republic is a hospitable country with an amazing history. Buying property in Portugal, it's like buying a place in a fairy tale, where every adult can feel like a child caught in a magical land. Here the ghosts of past eras come to life, attracting the architectural structures, nature and hospitality of local residents.
